Remembering Rizal (narrative essay)

Smart, kind, patient and brave. That's our National hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonzo Realonda, born on June 19,1661 at Calamba, Laguna. Son of Francisco and Teodora Rizal and a good example to his 11 siblings. Rizal studied abroad then when he came back. He did the bravest thing he can. He stand up to the Spanish invaders. He didn't use force or fight in combat. Instead he wrote stories and other stuffs telling the faults of the Spaniards. He died on December 30,1896. Shot behind his back at the place where we now called Rizal Park. But because of his death, People start to have courage to fight the Spaniards and drive them away. Maybe without Rizal. Our Country were not be like this, happy and free to do our choices.

Watching Batang Rizal at Assumpta Theater was not the only memorable thing that happened. As we went to Assumpta Theater at Antipolo Rizal. We experience the wildness of our rented jeep. Even though it's traffic we managed to get there fast. The jeep sways as we travel. We began to enjoy the trip by shouting every time the jeep sways but it's only for a short time. Our Adviser didn't like our attitude so we behave. When we arrived we waited a long time before we began to enter the theater. Our wait is worth it after all. When we entered the theater, we stared at the place in amazement. It's much beautiful than the AFP theater where we watch our every year stage-play. 

Boring, lame, and dull. That's what I thought first. But as the play goes on I began to appreciate it. The play started at a school. I wondered that time what's the connection of it to Rizal ? I thought the play will be about the childhood of Rizal. One clumsy boy there broke the Statue of Rizal that the Mayor wanted to show to everyone because of the Celebration. He then found a book that after he opened, he began to travel to the past. He met 3 of Rizal's sisters. He also been mistaken by them and then called him Pepe then he met the true Rizal whom he Idolize. He learned that him and Rizal are just like each other. They become friends. Pepito told Pepe about their lives and that Pepe is famous and our national hero then Pepito(the clumsy boy) invite Pepe to visit also the future. Pepe accepts the invitation and they traveled back to the present time. They encountered the three bullies.Pepe learned his Faith and tried to escape it but realized the good it will bring to the new generation. They save the Statue from breaking. Soon they found that the statue is made only out of chalk Pepe also accepted his faith and returned to the past.

I learned many things because of the play. I learned more about friendship. that true friends never leave you in times of trouble. Look out to the past and see things that affects us and how we became today. Dr. Jose Rizal may not be a skilled warrior. Or a powerful individual. but because of his actions, his works and bravery. He managed to change the lives of thousand of people. No one can ever replace Jose Rizal as our National Hero. 

Long and Lasting Relationship (Process Analysis)

Teenagers now a days have this thing we called "Love Life". They say love will turn your world upside down. Most of teenagers whose in love often remove their bad habits just for the sake of their love ones. Sometimes they become their inspiration and motivation to study hard but this isn't all about that.Sometimes love lead to the opposite effect, mostly when you and your lover separates or breaks apart. Love is the strength as well as a weakness to people. But there are 3 ways to make your relationship last.

First step, is the honesty of you and your partner. You two must tell what you fell for each other. What you like about him/her as well as your dislikes for him/her to change it for you.  You shouldn't lie or hide anything to him/her. If you made a mistake just ask for forgiveness. Don't hide anything because secrets, sooner or later, will be revealed and it will hurt him/her more if he/she hear it from others. 

Next step is to trust one another, don't just believe to anything bad people say about your partner. Talk to him/her abou it first. Say your problems to him/her as well. Sometimes he/she can help you handle it. It's comforting to have someone beside you when you have a hard time.

And the third and the last step is show your love to your partner in a balanced way. No more, no less. Loving him/her so much makes you possessive and will easily get jealous and that will lead him/her to love you less and less to the point where he/she will let go. Loving him/her less can also be a problem. He/She will be hurt by the way you treat him/her and eventually fell out of love for you. Don't also make him/her always be the one to do the first move. Sometimes tell him/her the three words: "I love you" first to make him/her know you mean it. Responding back to those words aren't that satisfying than to make you say it first.

This ways can assure you that you will have a long and lasting relationship.Don't be afraid of changing and sacrificing for the sake of your lover after all, Love will turn your world upside down.  

Books (Descriptive)

One thing I would never forget and never regret are my love for books. But not just any books. The books I like to read are story books. Sometimes I read Dictionaries and Encyclopedias but not Academic Books. I nver imagined I'll get drawn to books like this. Maybe it's just because some stories sometimes relates to my life.

Thick, hard-bound and big books are the features I like about books I collect. I just like it that the cover can't be ruined because I like books to be just what it looks before I bought it.

Joy is the feeling I get whenever I'm surrounded by books. When I'm surrounded with books I often dream of having a place filled with thousands of books. It makes me very sad also when I like to buy books left but I can't afford buying it all. Moreover, when I think of somebody getting books I like I feel very bad. It's like I'm inlove and it's breaking my heart just to see it to someone else.

Everybody should read books also because you will learn many more by reading it. It's like killing two birds with one stone, By reading story books your having fun and learning as well. It also enhances your imagination and your faith in life. 

Others may see it as plain,boring books but they're not boring. They are interesting things that have many genres. The topic of the books are from action to mystery to comedy to romance and any more.

Sometimes I recommend the books I read to my friends. They often like it first but they lost interests later on. It make me sad that my favorite hobby is the thing that i don't share with my friends.

But even though my friends don't like it or others don't see the way i see, I still love books and I won't ever replace it.
